We are very proud to announce the upcoming screening in London of Lud Mônaco’s ‘PARA PERO SIGUE’ (‘STOP BUT CARRY ON’) as part of the program of CORTOMETRAJES, 7 Spanish Short Films, an event curated and produced by Brit Es Magazine in partnership with Shorts On Tap, which will will take place on 18 February at 93 Feet East, a legendary spot in the heart of East London, the Old Truman Brewery, 150 Brick Lane.

Lud Mônaco‘s PARA PERO SIGUE’ (STOP BUT CARRY ON’) as part of the programme of CORTOMETRAJES, 7 Spanish Short Films, an event curated and produced by Brit Es Magazine in partnership with Shorts On Tap, which will will take place on 18 February at 93 Feet East, a legendary spot in the heart of East London, the Old Truman Brewery, 150 Brick Lane.

The programme is made up of a special selection of 7 short films which offer an eclectic point of view on today’s reality across different genres. As well as watching the films, the audience will get the chance to talk to the directors and meet our special guests.

PARA PERO SIGUE’ (Spain, 2013) is a road movie and a story about friendship. The film was selected at Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia in the section ‘Nova Autoria’ in 2013.

Synopsis: Flora and Boa are in the middle of an amazing hitch-hiking trip. After an inconvenient with a driver, they get off at a petrol station and Flora decides to make a phone call, which will jeopardize the continuity of the adventure.

Lud Mônaco was born in Sao Paulo in 1987. She studied in Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo before moving to London in 2007 where she did a Creative Writing course. She then enrolled at ECIB (Escola de Cinema de Barcelona) where she did a three year cinema direction course. After living in Bologna for almost a year, she is back in London working on her first feature film. ‘PARA PERO SIGUE’ was her graduation project and was awarded as Best Short Film in the Lisbon & Estoril Film Festival.

Doors open at 7pm for a pint & networking session. Films screening start at 8pm and show ends approximately at 10:30pm. The screening room is situated at the back of the venue. Special guests from film industry.
