‘The Flickering Darkness (Revisited)’ is a film by Spanish artist Juan delGado exploring the journey that food produce takes from its arrival before dawn at the Corabastos market in Bogotà, Colombia to its consumption across the social spectrum.
This exhibition shows José-María Cano’s latest series of encaustic paintings, all of wich take as their subject the mysterious surface of our planet’s solitary moon, are expresions of longing, spiritualy and awe at the ultimate unknowability of the universe and of the life itself.
Spanish Artist José Carlos Naranjo (Villamartín, Cádiz-1983) is one of the ten artists shortlisted for the Griffin Art Prize 2015. A showcase exhibition of their works will be held at the Griffin Galleryfrom Thursday November 19 to December 19 2015. Judges Emma Crichton-Miller, Jenni Lomax, Jenny Linden-Urnes and Stuart Semple will meet at Griffin Gallery to select the winner who will be announced at the exhibition Private View on Wednesday November 18.

Exhibition: Gala Knörr: WTF at Total Refreshment Centre

The Total Refreshment Centre presents new body of work by the London based artist Gala Knörr for her first solo exhibition in the UK. The old Edwardian building that was once a sugar factory then a Jamaican social club has since 2012 been the home for producers, musicians and artists to promote their creative endeavors. Regularly opening its doors to creative entities for new collaborations, be it in the form of recordings, film, concerts or exhibition, the Total Refreshment Centre has always pushed the art it stands for.
Art15 returns to Olympia in London from 21-23 May 2015 and two major curatorial projects are to be unveiled at Art15 this year. Kathleen Soriano, an independent curator and former Director of Exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts, is curating ‘Freedom Audit’ , an exhibition focusing on freedom of expression and how artists around the world negotiate boundaries of taste, mutual respect and tolerance.
