Last Monday, Brit Es hosted a very special event inspired by the cross-culture concept: a Supper Club created as a new way to connect with the artists and their practices. A new way to discover London’s Spanish art vibe in a new way: interacting with artists, tasting a secret menu and listening to the sound of a Steinway piano.
The event included conversations with four fabulous artists: Rosana Antolí, Gracjana Rejmer-Canovas, Ernesto Cánovas, Pablo A. Padilla Jargstorf, and a special menu created by Chef Antonio Sierra, who came from Extremadura for the event.
The Brit Es Supper Club was kindly sponsored by the Embassy of Spain in London, Bodega Soul, La Forja Restaurant and the collaboration of the Shoreditch Treehouse.

Brit Es Magazine and MAV Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (Women in the Visual Arts) are delighted to announce the presentation of the five artists selected for the Women in the Visual Arts Biennial 2018 in a two-day event in London.
If our first ‘CORTOMETRAJES’ event left us feeling profoundly grateful and touched, the second left us speechless; so much so, that three days later we still can’t quite process the scale of its success… We knew that the chosen titles for CORTOMETRAJES – 7 Spanish Short Films are seven cinematic gems in their own right. We knew that the London public have a real taste for cinema Made in Spain. We knew that we could count on the excellent work of our partners at Shorts on Tap to ensure that the event would run smoothly. We knew that there would be a good turn-out of our readers, friends and familiar faces as well as the film buffs, the curious-minded, the indie-artsy types, not to mention the East-End crowd. But the amount of people that showed up was beyond anything we imagined! The venue, 93 Feet East, was full to the brim and could barely handle the numbers of our devoted audience.
Brit Es Magazine in collaboration with Shorts on Tap presents their second event together, CORTOMETRAJES – 7 Spanish Short Films, which will take place on 18 February from 7 p.m. at 93 Feet East, a legendary spot in the heart of East London, the Old Truman Brewery at 150 Brick Lane.
We are Brit Es are delighted to announce our very first event: CORTOMETRAJES — 7 Short films, a screening which will take place on 16 September from 7pm. The event has been set up to put the spotlight on Brit Es talent and creativity — a concept that encompasses people, projects, trends and proposals which emerge in the United Kingdom, but with a Spanish character or origin which are also influenced by British culture.
