It must have been around one o’clock because lunch was being served. Nothing too special, it was a Thursday and a week like any other. Mike, the Events Manager for BFI, took me to one side and asked me to take particularly good care of this one table. I look over and see two men sitting at it, one of whom is wearing glasses with thick, dark, wooden frames. If there was an artist in the house, it was definitely this guy!
We talked to Daniel Cross, one of the directors of TAPE Music, a London music management company, about the reasons behind opening an office in Spain, the bands his company manages and where the industry is heading. But most of all, we talked about our mutual passion — music.
‘Unpredictable’ is a feature film that evaluates the work of groundbreaking musician and artist Terry Day, bringing together some of the founding members of the UK free improvised music scene like Steve Beresford, Evan Parker, David Toop, Charlie Hart, George Khan and Mike Figgis. The film reflects on their lasting influence and uncovers previously unknown aspects of Terry Day ́s artistic output.

This month, the Spanish theatre production company, Ron Lalá, took its new performance ‘Somewhere in the Quijote’ to the Riverside Studios on the banks of the Thames in Hammersmith as part of the second Festival of Spanish Theatre in London. The festival was initiated last year by Mariví Rodríguez Quiñones, University lecturer of Spanish at King’s College, with the aim of promoting Spanish theatre in the UK.
